Mie Prefecture is in the Kansai region on Japan’s main island of Honshu. Mie is a beautifully scenic destination with over 1000km of Pacific coastline. The region has a large forest vegetation with at least 35% of its area designated as National Parks. Naturally because of Mie’s extensive coastline, it has a large seafood industry and is also home to the world-famous Mikimoto Pearls. Other than great golf, you’ll discover Mie is also renowned for its Sake distilleries and Matsusaka Beef which is a prized rival to Kobe Beef. This package incorporates 4 of Mie’s best golf courses along with some wonderful sightseeing activities including Ise Jingu Grand Shrine which is the most beloved of all the shrines in Japan. You’ll meet the incredible Ama Lady Divers who harvest pearls and seafood from the ocean floor. The Ama Divers are master cooks and they’ll serve you a devine BBQ Seafood Lunch on the day of your arrival. Later in the tour you’ll visit Mikimoto Pearl Island to see Japan’s Pearl Industry and have an opportunity to purchase some of these highly sought after treasures.
